Almas or Diamond Mansion
The foundation of this hall was laid during the time of Fath Ali Shah, and its structurer, divisions, doors, and stairs are similar to the buildings of his time, but during the time of Naser al-Din Shah, some changes were made in its appearance and decorations. This building is called the Diamond Mansion because of its internal mirror works and it includes a large hall, earring rooms, corridors, lofts, and numerous vestibules. Under the hall there is also a large basement or pond house. On three sides of the hall, above the shelves, in the style of the buildings of Fath Ali Shah era, there are three mirrored porches and narrow and elongated arches, and the north side of the hall is covered with large sashes that have beautiful colored glass. During the reign of Naser al-Din Shah, arches of this hall, like many other arches of Golestan Palace, was converted into arcuate or Roman arches, and the walls of the hall were covered with wallpapers imported from Europe.
The oldest part of this hall is on the south side which dates back to Fath Ali Shah period.
Almas Hall, was dedicated to the memorial of "Mirza Mohammad Taqi Khan Amir Kabir Nizam Farahani", minister of Naser al- Din Shah, and it was opened at the same time as Mirza taghi Khan Amir kabir Farahani conference on Monday May 22, 2023 in the presence of Dr. Ali Darabi Deputy Minister and Deputy Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Ministry and Ali Toloui Deputy Minister of Management and Resources Development of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts Ministry, Afarin Emami, Director of Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex, Abdul Hossein Khosropanah, Secretary of the Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution, and a group of ministry managers.
