The exhibition "Narration of Naser al-Din Shah's assassination" will be held in Golestan Palace

On Thursday, April 20, 1896 AD, on the cusp of the 50th anniversary of his reign, Naser al-Din Shah Qajar went to visit the shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim (PBUH), where he was assassinated by Mirza Reza Kermani and died on the spot.

After this incident and the death of the Shah, and bathing and shrouding, his body was put in trust for about a year in the Takiye Dowlat - which he had built himself - and after his tomb was prepared in the shrine of Hazrat Abdul Azim (AS), his body was buried there. Before the burial of the Shah, the tomb room was the tomb of his beloved wife, Forough al-Saltaneh (Jiran Tajrishi) and his son Qasim Mirza.

This tomb is decorated with plaster molding and mirrorwork, which is a combination of western and Qajar styles, and a major part of it is still standing. In the porch of the tomb, which became part of the holy shrine during the construction development of the post-revolutionary years, there was an inscription that was removed from this place and moved to the Astan Museum when the development project began. This inscription contains a poetic narrative consisting of 40 verses.

نمایشگاه «روایت قتل ناصرالدین شاه» در کاخ گلستان برگزار می شود.
