The director of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex announced the unveiling of two historical documents in the Qajar era attributed to the blind by the Golestan Palace Historical Documents Center and said: a special museum tour section for the blind and deaf will also be opened for the first time in Iran.
According to the public relations of Golestan Palace's World Heritage Complex report, Afrin Emami said: Golestan Palace has implemented several programs to support the blind and deaf since 2021 in the form of targeted visits.
She continued: Therefore, for the first time in Iran, a special museum tour section for the blind and deaf will be set up permanently in Golestan Palace. In addition to the unveiling of the museum tour system for the blind and virtual tour for the deaf, embossed images of historical works, objects and buildings, touchable maquettes of some of the complex buildings along with the display of the original written documents (Mon) from the Qajar period are displayed.
The director of the Golestan Palace World Heritage Complex noted: The museum tour section for the blind and deaf will be opened on Sunday, December 2, in HozKhaneh of this world complex, with the presence of Dr. Jamali, the head of the Iran Blind Association and Pactos Inc., and a group of blind and disabled people.
It should be noted that "Mon" from the Braille family, with its invention date back to 1845, is a type of touch letters, while Braille is a type of dot letters.
