Background of the Historical Manuscript Center
The Golestan Palace World Heritage Historical Manuscript Center is one of the largest and most important manuscript centers in Iran, and in terms of the number of manuscripts and written documents of the Qajar era, it is one of the most important centers of its kind in the world. This collection has more than five hundred thousand documents, including manuscripts with the titles of scientific, astronomical, religious, philosophy and other humanities, as well as decrees of the Qajar kings, handwritten Classical music notes of European greatest masters in the 19th century, the documents of some contracts between Iran and other countries of the world in the 19th century, the collection of envelopes and letterheads of the Qajar era, which is unique in the world due to their diversity and number, and a collection of government letters and correspondences from the era Qajar until the first Pahlavi era, as one of the largest scientific and cultural reserves of the country, can provide services to researchers, scholars and scientists at the domestic and international level.
