🔸 The first appearance of an Iranian athlete in the Olympics, Fereydoun Malkam, who
participated in the Olympics. In the 2nd Summer Olympics of 1900 in Paris, he
participated in fencing competition.
However, he had an unofficial presence in the Olympics and was defeated in the first
round. Muzaffar al-Din Shah gave him the title of Prince because of his participation in
the Olympics.
